نبذة عن الفنان About the Artist
يأتي وحيد استانبولي بوصفه امتداداً مهماً للتأسيس المبكر للنحت الحلبي. درس في روما ثم عاد إلى حلب ليضع بصمته في الفضاء العام من خلال النصب والمنحوتات التي زيّنت الساحات والحدائق والدوارات. Wahid Istanbuli comes as an important extension of the early foundation of Aleppan sculpture. He studied in Rome then returned to Aleppo to leave his mark on public space through monuments and sculptures that adorned squares, parks and roundabouts.
تميّزت أعماله بالطابع الواقعي، مع اهتمام واضح بالشخصيات التاريخية والرموز المحلية. من أبرز أعماله نصب الخصب عند مدخل حلب باتجاه دمشق سنة ١٩٦٧، إضافة إلى أعمال نحتية تناولت شخصيات مثل أبي العلاء المعري. His works were distinguished by a realistic character, with clear interest in historical figures and local symbols. Among his most prominent works is the Fertility Monument at the Aleppo entrance toward Damascus in 1967, and sculptural works depicting figures such as Abu Al-Alaa Al-Ma'arri.
