نبذة عن الفنان About the Artist
وُلد في جرابلس عام ١٩٧٥، وبدأ دراسته الموسيقية عبر العزف على آلة البزق منذ طفولته. درس في المعهد العالي للموسيقى في دمشق وتخرّج عام ٢٠٠٠ باختصاص البزق والعود، وكان أول خريج في المعهد يركز على البزق — آلة الفلكلور السوري الأصيل. Born in Jarabulus in 1975, he began his musical studies playing the buzuq from early childhood. He studied at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus and graduated in 2000 specializing in buzuq and oud, becoming the first graduate of the institute to focus on the buzuq — the authentic Syrian folk instrument.
أحيا حفلات موسيقية منفردة عبر الشرق الأوسط وأوروبا والولايات المتحدة، وعزف مع الفرقة السيمفونية الوطنية السورية. وفي أول ظهور له مع أوركسترا قطر الفيلهارمونية بقيادة لورين مازل، أحيا حفلة مع مارسيل خليفة في «كونشيرتو العربية». He performed solo concerts across the Middle East, Europe and the United States, and played with the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra. In his first appearance with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Lorin Maazel, he performed with Marcel Khalife in "Concerto Arabia."
كملحن وموزّع، ألّف مقطوعات للعود والبزق وموسيقى للتلفزيون والمسرح، وأسّس «رباعية العود السورية». يعمل منذ ٢٠١٣ مدرّساً للعود والبزق في المعهد العالي للموسيقى بدمشق. As a composer and arranger, he composed pieces for oud and buzuq, music for television and theater, and founded the "Syrian Oud Quartet." Since 2013 he has taught oud and buzuq at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus.
